The Oudalle plant works closely with the public authorities responsible for the environment, principally the DRIRE de Haute Normandie, but also the water board (l'Agence de l'Eau Seine Normandie) and the Le Havre port authorities.

The Oudalle site respects the emissions limits set by these authorities.

Top priority to human health and safety

At TOTAL FLUIDS, we give top priority to human health and safety, throughout the lifecycle of our products, from production through to end use, via transport.

Solvents are governed by European agreements on the international carriage of dangerous goods. Total Fluids has chosen firms whose practices meet the most stringent requirements in terms of transport organization and safety, and the staff in charge of transporting solvents is carefully selected, trained and monitored.

Due to their volatile nature, solvents involve a risk of ignition, especially during loading, storage, transport and use in large quantities.  The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is the main source of user information to prevent such risks.

Safety Management System

Since 1999, the Oudalle plant has had a Safety Management System compliant with the International Safety Rating System (ISRS) version MP170.
