TOTAL's HYDROSEAL products:

TOTAL's HYDROSEAL products are a range of high-performance, low-viscosity base oils widely used when manufacturing industrial lubricants, especially metal working fluids as well as other fluids such as oils for shock absorbers or industrial or automotive hydraulics (light grades). The outstanding purity of the HYDROSEAL range and their complete absence of both odour and colour combine with superior ageing stability and mildness to the skin.

The Hydroseal range is made up of seven products, designed for different metal working formulations:

For applications such as fluids for hydraulics or shock absorbers requiring both high performance at low temperature and a high viscosity, users should choose HYDROSEAL G290H and G300H (pour points respectively of -42°C and -18°C / -43.6 and -0.4°F) to formulate their products.
For formulations requiring a certain volatility or ability to dry, TOTAL offers a comprehensive range of hydrocarbon solvents with different boiling ranges and flash points:
White Spirits from the SPIRDANE range or virtually odourless Isoparaffins from the ISANE range are widely used as metal degreasers, in dewatering or corrosion protection fluids or in self vanishing forming oils or for heat-degreasable formulations.
Apart from metal working, TOTAL's Special Fluids offers a range of products that is ideally suited to formulate high quality concrete demoulding oils. The HYDROSEAL range offers a choice of high quality, low-viscosity base oils which are often combined with aromatic-free white Spirits or Kerosenes from the SPIRDANE and KETRUL range.
The absence of aromatics and other impurities make HYDROSEAL and KETRUL fluids equally suitable for the formulation of high quality 2-stroke engine oils such as outboard engine oils, where elastomer compatibility or biodegradability  are vital.
